Privacy Policy

Overview

Colorjam ("the app", "we", "us") is a simple fullscreen color lighting utility. It requires no account, no login, and no network connection to function. We built it with privacy as a default, not an afterthought.

Information We Collect

Colorjam collects no personal data. The only data the app stores is:

• Your last selected color — saved locally on your device using the operating system's standard storage (SharedPreferences on Android, NSUserDefaults on iOS). This data never leaves your device.

We do not collect names, email addresses, device identifiers, location data, usage analytics, crash reports, or any other information that could identify you.

How Your Data Is Used

The locally stored color preference is used solely to restore your last-used color when you reopen the app. It is never read by us, transmitted over a network, or shared with any third party.

Third-Party Services

Colorjam does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. There are no third-party services that receive your data.

The app is distributed through Apple's App Store. Apple may collect certain non-personal diagnostics and usage information as described in Apple's own Privacy Policy. This data collection is governed by Apple and is separate from Colorjam.

Permissions

Colorjam requests only the permissions necessary to function:

• Screen wake lock — keeps the display on while a color is active. This permission does not grant access to any personal data.

No camera, microphone, location, contacts, or network permissions are requested.

Data Retention & Deletion

Because all data is stored locally on your device, you can delete it at any time by:

• Clearing the app's storage in your device settings, or
• Uninstalling the app entirely.

We have no server-side data to delete on your behalf because we never receive any.

Children's Privacy

Colorjam does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is safe for all ages under Apple's App Store guidelines.

Security

Since no personal data is transmitted or stored on external servers, there is no risk of a data breach involving your information. Your color preference lives only on your own device, protected by your device's native security model.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change this privacy policy in a material way, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review it periodically. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
